Our main objective is to select and recommend the most suitable candidates for positions within the Punjab Public Service through a merit-based, transparent, and expeditious process. We strive to promote excellence, professionalism, and competence in the Punjab Public Service by ensuring that the selection process is fair, impartial, and objective.

In addition to our primary objective, we also provide advice to the Government on matters related to recruitment, selection criteria, and processes to ensure the efficient selection of human resources for various posts. Our goal is to contribute to the development of a competent and efficient public service that meets the challenges of the twenty-first century while upholding the highest standards of professionalism, accountability, and integrity.

Our objectives are as follows:

  1. To establish a competent, efficient, professional, and responsive Public Service that can meet the challenges of the twenty-first century.
  2. To act without fear or favor and ensure functional independence, political neutrality, accountability, and integrity.
  3. To uphold standards, policies, guidelines, and rules governing selection processes.
  4. To develop and implement rule-based selection criteria and processes to ensure fair and equal opportunities to all candidates.
  5. To provide advice to the Government, where necessary, on policies, recruitment methods, selection criteria, and processes to ensure an efficient selection process and attract the best possible human resources for various positions.
Our functions are as follows:
  1. To conduct tests, examinations, and interviews for the recruitment of candidates to Provincial Services and posts connected with the affairs of the Province, as prescribed by law.
  2. To conduct tests, examinations, and interviews for the recruitment of candidates to posts in or under a Corporation or other body or organization set up by the Government under any law, as prescribed by law.
  3. To advise the Government on matters related to the terms and conditions of service of persons who are members of a Provincial Service or hold posts in connection with the affairs of the Province, as prescribed by law.
  4. To perform any other functions as prescribed by law.
